Here’s my Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Review, I know you guys have been waiting to see what I think of this highly popular course so, enjoy!
Last year, I received an email into my inbox that was set to change my life. It was from pro-blogger Michelle from Making Sense of Cents. Michelle started blogging as an outlet (like most of us) in August 2011 but quickly grew her part-time blog into a full-time income.
Right now she earns upwards of $100,000 PER MONTH from her blog. Yes, you read that right!
The email was all about a course she’d just launched called ‘Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing‘. Designed to teach you how you can make money from your blog just like she does. The cost of the course was $197 (around £150) so I thought about it, not for days but for the best part of two weeks.
Then I remembered – To make money you need to spend money.
A blog is no different, so if you want to seriously start earning money from this you need to invest in your education I thought. So, with one GIANT gulp – I bought it.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?
So before we start it would help if you knew what affiliate marketing actually is… Affiliate marketing is where you earn a percentage of all sales for a product that you promote.
From the readers perspective; they’ll gain information about a particular product or service. Enabling them to make an informed purchase decision.
From the bloggers perspective; they’ll be able to earn money by honestly recommending particular products and services that are going to help their readers.
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing includes 6 modules, 30 lessons, a number of worksheets, bonuses and an exclusive Facebook group. The course is structured as follows;
What affiliate marketing is and how it works
Why affiliate marketing is great
The exact steps Michelle’s taken to earn over $300,000 from a single blog post
How to pick the right affiliate products to promote
How to increase conversions
*How to build trust and not lose followers*
Required disclosures that you need to know about
The one major tool you need for affiliate marketing
Different strategies to use to promote your affiliate products
How to use Pinterest to succeed at affiliate marketing
The Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course has been designed to be easily digestible. Despite having no video or audio content the short paragraphs, bullet points and headings make everything easy to understand and follow along with.
The course is designed for busy bloggers. So you can save and exit the course at any time and you won’t lose where you are.
The format of the course looks good on mobile so it’s easy to do the coursework during your commute or while waiting for an appointment.
Who Is Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Designed For?
This course is designed for people who want to start earning passive income from their blogs, by promoting products and services – without selling their soul!
Who Is Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing NOT For?
This course doesn’t teach you how to set up a blog – I do that here. However, after around three months of blogging and 10+ posts, you might consider purchasing this course.
If You’re Already Making £1,000+ Per Month From Affiliates
This is a basic – advanced course. It will teach you how to go from £1 to £100 a month, maybe even £100 to £1,000 a month. However, if you’re already earning upwards of £1,000 I’d advise you to look at a more advanced course than this one.
People Who Don’t Want To Work Hard
Don’t be fooled.
Passive income from affiliate marketing maybe passive BUT it takes work to set up. You need to write the posts in the first place, you need to A/B test, you need to market, research promote… and remain relevant.
The course could easily be read from start to finish in one day, however, it’s the implementation of the course that is going to take the time. Researching relevant affiliates, applying for each and every programme, adjusting every blog post, creating new Pinterest pins.
This can take WEEKS depending on the amount of content you have (which is why I’d recommend doing the course sooner rather than later).
Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing Course Extra’s
1: Access to the private Facebook Mastermind group
This exclusive Facebook group will help you connect with others who have taken the course so that you can get feedback, ask questions, learn from others in your community, and offer help of your own. It’s the best blogging-related Facebook group I’m part of (and I’m part of like 100!!!).
2: Free Group Coaching Sessions
Michelle hosts “Ask Michelle Saturday.” exclusively for the members of this course. Here you’ll gain feedback and support, and you can ask any questions related to your business, course material, your affiliate strategy, blog, and so on…
3: 9 Things You Must Do When Something Goes Viral
Access to a PDF document outlining exactly what to do and how to benefit from something going viral.
4: How To Increase Your Page Views
Michelle believes that you do not need millions of page views per month to make money blogging, but it is something you will want to increase if you hope to improve your income.
Once you understand what your readers want, understand how to effectively reach out to companies for partnerships, and know-how to charge the correct rate, you can make a good income online, regardless of the number of page views you receive.
Increasing your pages view is necessary to make money blogging, but there are many different ways to grow that number. You’ll receive a PDF outlining exactly what you must do in order to increase your page views.
I’ve paid up to $50 for similar PDF documents and courses that weren’t as good as this one extra!
6: My Affiliate Products And Services
This is a worksheet that will help you keep track of the affiliate programs you are in. This way, you can easily reference it and include affiliate links in new social media and blog posts.
7: The Perfect Affiliate Link Checklist
Use the worksheet “The Perfect Affiliate Link Checklist” to make sure your affiliate link is perfect. A perfect affiliate link will lead to higher click-through-rates and conversions.
My Affiliate Marketing Results
So, I’ve given you my Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing review, but what about the results. Did I see any as a result of taking the course? Well, yes, yes I did.
I joined the Facebook group for the course in July 2016. I couldn’t find the exact date or transaction from when I bought the course so this was the closest thing to highlight the date I began to implement the techniques from Michelle’s course.
Look at how in the following months my affiliate income grew by hundreds upon hundreds of pounds – and that’s just one affiliate!
I figured that’s everything you need to know about the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course by Michelle Schroeder-Gardner. As always, if you’ve got any questions feel free to drop me an email. If I don’t know the answer I can certainly email Michelle to find the answer for you.
Otherwise, be sure to click the button above, buy the course and start your own affiliate marketing journey.
