Canon 80D Review
Earlier this year I looked to upgrade my traditional vlogging camera (the Canon G7X Mark II) to something slightly more professional.
I wanted something that would support a Rode microphone for better audio, but was still tailored towards vlogging. Which is why I opted for the Canon 80D.
Unfortunatly I ended up returning my Canon 80D. It just didn't match up to my Canon G7X Mark II enough for the extra cost and weight to be worthwhile. That said if you're looking for a solid DSLR camera for shooting photographs this camera is one of the very best on the market at this price point.

A typical DSLR design the Canon 80D comes with a rubber grip and interchangeable lenses. The design is almost identical to it’s predecessor the 70D.
The Canon 80D comes with a comprehensive autofocus system with 100% field of view optical viewfinder which works a treat with the vari-angle touchscreen!
Value For Money
From a vlogging perspective. This camera just isn’t enough of a big step up from the Canon G7X Mark II to warrant the extra cost, weight and dimensions.
That said, if you are looking for just a great all round DSLR to take fantastic photos on then this is going to be a highly suitable easy to use camera and I’d recommend it.
