World Travel Market London Review

World Travel Market London is the leading global event for the travel industry to meet industry professionals and conduct business deals. However, as the travel media industry continues to explode bloggers and social influences have been invited to get in on the action.

My review of the World Travel Market London is therefore going to be based on my blogger perspective. Rather than a business one.

Summary

The World Travel Market London is a fantastic event for bloggers and social influences in the travel sector to attend - and not just because it's free. Instead, because it offers four jam-packed days worth of networking with bloggers, brands and tourism boards. With plenty of interactive events and speakers from all sides of the travel sector.

Location

The event is located at the Excel in London. This is the premier venue for events of this size meaning it has all the transport links and amenities required.

There’s plenty of accommodation options near the Excel but their location also comes at a premium. I decided to stay in a budget room at the EasyHotel in London city centre and saved myself approximately £70 a night.

Speakers

There’s a whole host of different sessions through out the event designed for industry, market and press.

With such a variety it’s hard not to find something that doesn’t suit you’re niche. If all that wasn’t enough Travel Massive and Traverse also held events over the World Travel Market London event time period with advanced sessions just for bloggers and social media influencers.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was amazing!

I joined the WTM Blogger Crew Facebook group around two months before the event. It was a great way to get to know people before the event so I had some friendly faces once I arrived.

Once I did arrive I headed straight for the press centre. There was a complimentary cloakroom, plenty of press releases, a small café and some seating for sitting and working and networking with others in your profession.

There was plenty of different demonstrations by different brands and tourism boards all of which were highly engaging.

Value For Money

The World Travel Market London tickets are FREE for press.

Which is of course, great value for money. Especially considering the sheer number of networking opportunities and events.

That’s my complete review of the World Travel Market London event. If you’re looking more for what to do when you get there, how to pitch to brands and what to take then check out Pack Your Passports take on the event.
